Our Chiapas Reserve is a medium-dark roast coffee that comes from the state of Chiapas, located on the Guatemalan border in the Sierra Madre Mountain range. The coffee farmers in this region grow a special type of coffee known as Café de Altura, or Altitude Coffee. The beans are harvested at a height of up to 1,800 meters above sea level, which is slightly higher than the elevation of Denver, Colorado.
The proximity to the equator and the rich volcanic soils in Chiapas contribute to the unique flavor profile of the coffee. The beans are less bitter and have a hint of sweetness, making for a delightful cup of coffee.
Our Chiapas Reserve is a single origin coffee, meaning it comes from one specific region and is not blended with beans from other places. This ensures that you are getting a pure and authentic taste.
This coffee is roasted to a medium-dark level, which brings out the flavors of the beans while still maintaining their natural qualities. The result is a cup of coffee with sweet and woody notes of hazelnut, along with slight hints of chocolate.
Each bag of our Chiapas Reserve contains 12 ounces of ground coffee, making it convenient and easy to brew. So why not try a taste of the Sierra Madre Mountain range in every sip?
